Marci: I'm a wife, Mother, Grandmother and a purveyor of antiques. I enjoy wearing ALL of my hats and the antiques' part keeps me sane, or insane~~~depending on who you're speaking with. I have a very tolerant husband who has supported me in my interest in buying and selling many of my fabulous finds. Did I mention *living with them*, as well*?? Welcome Welcome To The Way It Was~~~~

I will probably be dwelling on the way it was a lot, but I hope to also include the way it is, as both work so well together in today's world!

I've collected, purchased and sold antiques forever, it seems, or at least thirty-five years. During this time, my quest for discovering that *special find* has led me all over the country and beyond. I've met very interesting people, both buyers and sellers, who have shared their knowledge and their love of collecting. I have bought and sold some fabulous items. I sometimes feel we antiquers are comparable to Don Quixote, but we chase tresures instead of windmills!!

Enjoy this blog, remembering that this is not my forte. I write what I feel and my words and displays will be simple, and hopefully, enjoyable to read and view. I truly appreciate any comments, questions or your own personal sharings! Let's find something to discuss here.

I'm also a frustrated decorator and have a wonderful home in which to display my occasional talents. I will begin showing and telling more and more about this home and how much it has meant to my husband and myself. It's been kind of like an unexpected last child, that we never expected, but can't imagine how we existed without it.
