The Summer Of Our Discontent

This has been one HOT summer!  After spending a long, cold, dreary winter indoors, most of us were ready to enjoy the outdoors.  Hasn't happened!!  I can barely stand to be outside more than a few minutes at a time in these high 90's temps!  Here are some flowers that have managed to brave the elements. 

Wishing All Mothers A Very Happy Mother's Day

Finally, we here in Michigan are enjoying some warm, sunny weather.  Just in time for celebrating Mom's Day tomorrow.  I'm playing with my gift:  a brand new HP laptop computer.  I think I'm going to love it, but I miss the familiarity of my 11 year old P.C. now.  Changes are good and I know that once I let the memories go, I'll begin to feel comfy with this new *made for speed*  wonder!!






 

Time To Lighten Up

It's spring (thank goodness) and I'm beginning to look at rooms with a different view.  Presently, I'm checking out these guest bedrooms and am trying to make some *uplifting* decisions.   Where to begin?

Keeping The Home Fires Burning

I'ts been a bitterly cold winter here in SE Michigan.  I don't believe we've had as much snow as other places, but we still have time to catch up!!

I dream of the sea & surf, of flowers and butterflies.  I imagine the white, cold snow to be  sandy beach!!

I'm looking forward to a great selling season and I've begun the year by selling another old friend.  This lovely Victorian Stick and Ball Hall Tree graced the foyer in our former home.

It's Tuesday, only three days until Christmas Eve! The gifts are all purchased, wrapped and are under the tree. Most of the groceries have been purchased and I'm still baking.




I hope to be finished by tomorrow. I'll also finish any cleaning that needs to be done. I look forward to having an entire day to do all of these last minute things . Hopefully, my energy will remain intact. I hope to post some pictures of my decorations, but will have to do that on my other computer.

My kitty is asking for my attention, so I will give in to her. Have a lovely few days before Christmas!! Take a nap and don't feel guilty. These are exhausting days.
